How to hand wash bras?
If you use detergents when hand washing, use mild detergents. Eco-friendly detergents tend to be more mild. Don’t use bleach.
Step 1:
Find a bucket or deep sink that can hold one gallon of water. Fill it with cool water, not hot water.
Step 2:
Add one teaspoon of detergent and let your bra or bras soak in the soapy water for about 15 minutes. There’s no need to scrub your bras, but you can gently buff out stains with a toothbrush if desired.
Step 3:
Rinse off the soap with fresh cool water until the water runs clear. Do not wring or squeeze your bras. Instead, press the water out of your bras using a fluffy towel.
Step 4:
Let your bras air dry with the cups facing up. If the cups were flattened in step three, make sure they are pushed back into their original shape. It’s better to let them dry flat than to hang them, as hanging can distort their shape.
